LATEST RELEASE

Floe Fountain (SWE) - Infinipolar (OR013)
The anticipated, new, and possibly last, Floe Fountain recording. "Infinipolar" is released on both Tape (6 tracks) and 3'' CDr (5 Tracks). Floe Fountains well-made mixture of pop sensibillity and Ex Models-kind of fucked-up rock is head turning. The spastic drums, the epileptic guitar riffs, the keys and the vocal twists and turns between soft crooning and hysterical screams is amazing.

Conversations About The Light / Tempole! - Split-MC (OR012)
Three pieces of well-made noise that mustn't go unheard. CATL are not back, but this is three unreleased tracks that really shows that this was one of the greatest new noise artists that ever came from USA. Don't let this slip through your fingers, get it before it's gone!
Tempole is a swedish instrumental insanity from somewhere between the gutter and the garage. A really ugly (in the good way) sounding band that delivers really heavy, trashy rock. Hopefully they'll destroy your stereo with the massive cover of Suicides "Ghost Rider".

Floe Fountain / Soviet Jazz - Split-MC (OR011)
Spastic, epileptic drum patterns that are everywhere, dissonant guitar chords and a flow that will leave you amazed and a low, popish voice sounding completely bored, which makes it all very interesting. Sometimes reminding of the clean parts from Dillinger Escape Plans most fucked-up songs, Floe Fountain from Stockholm have gathered a "Best(Worst) Of The Demos"-compilation that now end up on tape!
Soviet Jazz: A rock opera by two Jazz avantgardes? I can't believe it either!

The Fresh Weather Bomb Attack / 02:58 - Split-MC (OR010)
The FWBA is fucked-up noise-rock that seriously needs your attention! I hear a lot of Sonic Youth in the approach, (that might be just me). This is what usually is referred to as "No Wave". Sometimes reminding me of Ruins (Japan), sometimes the "sound" of Einstürzende Neubauten. Really interesting stuff.
02:58 is the sad story of a band that had the capacity of destroying musical boundaries with their twisted, decayed version it. These are the only tracks that were completed, a prologue/intro and two songs. One guitarist, one noise conspirateur and a vocalist, who in the track”Insekter” is screaming from inside a locked metal box, kicking and pounding on the walls. The authentity is horrifying. The tracks were supposed to be on a complete fullength album, a concept album about mental patients. It starts with a prologue that describes the views inside of a rotten mental institution. The second track is called ”I Spinnarfjärilens Hus” and describes a necrophiles affection for his lovers. Third, and last is the track ”Insekter”, this track is regarding a patient who sees insects everywhere, around him, on him, inside him, they’re consuming him from inside out. These tracks are three or four years old now, but is still haunting enough to be released.

Bionic Ghost Kids / Totenpaahle - Split-MC (OR009)
Bionic Ghost Kids is an electro/screamo/thrash-insanity from Berlin. About to release their debut album they've graced Ominous with some tracks for a tape. This is aggressive but still catchy, harsh and provoking. A band of masked avengers destroying the stages around Germany for the moment. Check this out or be very sorry.
Totenpaahle is experimental Noise/Ambient from the capital of Sweden. Tobias Lund, the creator, manages to give both a haunting and beautiful experience with his project. Some post-rockish touches here and there, some vocals, samples. This is a really well-made piece of art that shouldn't go unoticed.

The Balustrade Ensemble - Capsules (OR008)
A melancholic fairytale told by guitar loops, pedal steel and choirs. A shivering feeling of isolation narrated by violas and mellotron. This is beautiful and dark, sorrowful and capturing. The music seems almost fragile. May appeal to fans of Sigur Rós, Múm and similar. A beautifully packaged CD filled with experimental ambient and emotions.

Conversation About The Light - A Retrospective / Limited and Unreleased Tracks (OR006)
The american artist serves you a plate of limited tracks and previously unreleased tracks. Pure ambiental dronescapes and a very gloomy atmosphere, combined with harsh noise, and painfully sharp cluster. This is uneasy easy listening. Did you like the Boris records "The thing which Solomon overlooked" and "Dronevil", picture the sound from these albums, and combine it with some heavy noise. You should also check out the collaborative CD with Conversations About The Light and A Crown Of Amaranth, A Crown Of Light - The Clearing, a concept album that is dark as hell.

Diagnose: Lebensgefahr - Transformalin (OR005)
It started with a demo wrapped in bloodstained bandages. The bleeder was no-one else but Nattramn from the worshipped act Silencer. The demo contained the worst case of mental decay Ominous Recordings had ever heard. Ambiental soundscapes, combined with harsh noise, and Nattramns uneasy voice. Chanting his painful lyrics with a voice that is submissive, but at the same time demanding. A voice filled with fear, but at the same time controlled. As the cooperation evolved Ominous Recordings got a peek into one of Swedens darkest souls. This release layout and design is as it was visioned by Nattramn himself, every picture is personally picked out by the mind behind the madness you are about to hear. It was a real honor to have released this upon mankind, and I am greatful to Nattramn for giving Ominous Recordings this opportunity.

Charons Nymfer(Swe) - Se Döden På Dig Väntar (OR004)
Charons Nymfer interprets Carl-Michael Bellman in the most modern way so far. Harsh noise, folkrock, metal, original material composed the same way as old folk music from the 1700th. Angstridden, haunting, interesting to say the least. The limited edition is handnumbered by Dick Lundberg.

Sekt(Swe) - Learn / Terror Regime(Swe) - The Ominous Drone (OR003)
The Sekt-side is an experimental ambiental journey into darkness, frustration and control. So hypnotizing and scary that it is a must have! The Terror Regime-side is as usual misanthropic harsh noise, complete Terror Propaganda. Less vocals than earlier, but a live(?!) track has been added.

COMING RELEASES

Rat Healer (USA) (OR014)
After listening to Rat Healer, you feel the need to wash your self. The dirt creeps into every crack. Imagine a Brainbombs that suddenly realized old, 90's norwegian Black Metal was the new shit, but tried to keep the filthy punk/rock vibe. Screaming banshee Roardog's distorted vocals puts another layer of sludge on top of that cake!

Black and Blue (SWE) - The Heart EP (OR00?)
This is the soundtrack to the apocalypse.
Two-man band from the north that does doomsday-covers on old blues songs, mixed with some of their own material.
Harsh, painful and very, very dark blues.
You need to own this!
Coming
Mp3 Sample: Take These Chains

Vengeance
Hypnotic drones in the vein of Earth around "Phase 3: Thrones and Dominions" at one point then the music transforms into something that reminds one more of postrock then to the beautiful and dark guitars of Woven Hand and 16 Horsepower.
The mutation is interesting.

DISTRO

Accurst - "Fragments Of A Nightmare" CD in Jewel Case (Sérpéné Héli Music Collective)
Nightmareish ambient music, some really haunting parts. This is Accurst first album
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (3 copies)

Accurst - "A Phantom's Noctuary" CD Digipack (Sérpéné Héli Music Collective)
Adon, the man behind this project, has developed what he refers to as "Dekadence Music", a sort of "post-genre"-music. Which moves in the trails of Dark Ambient, Classical Music and some Industrial. But the best part of the whole track (it's just one long 43 minute track) is where the carnival music begins, and Adon sounds like a possessed merchant trying to sell off his soul. You should really get this CD, it is one of the best ones I have on distribution.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (1 copy)

Aktiv Dödshjälp / Slaktattack Split 7''

80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (2 copies)

Barbara - "Peger" CD (Heart & Crossbone Records)
Barbara is a duo from Israel, sounding like the garage version of Ruins, Lightning Bolt and the Locust IF the members all had found a source of inspiration from the Black'n'Roll scene. Really primitive and rough but catchy and evil.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (2 copies)

Bisclaveret - "Psyche Nomine" CD Folded Cardboard (The Eastern Front)
Polish Dark Ambient who transforms into something of a dark ritual from time to time. And then it descends into something like a "relax your mind"-CD made by Aleister Crowley. Comes in a beautiful 3 parts folded cardboard packaging, a really special and out of the ordinary release, in an unordinary packaging. Get it!
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (1 copy)

150 SEK / 15 EUR / 16 USD (2 copies)

Genghis Tron - "Dead Mountain Mouth" CD (Crucial Blast)
"Dead Mountain Mouth moves beyond the rapid-fire electro/grind genre-splicing of Cloak Of Love, and forms something more fluid and cohesive, an arcane union of digital dreams and brutal heaviness, where speedcore eruptions blossom from clouds of maximum beat-driven electronic bliss, and futuristic metal riffage seethes from your speakers." (From Crucial Blast webpage)
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (1 copy)

Goatvargr - "S/T" CD Digipack (Cold Spring Records)
A collaboration between US act Goat and Swedish maestro Nordvargr.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 10 USD (4 copies)

Grave In The Sky - "Cutlery Hits China: English For The Hearing Impaired" CD (Heart & Crossbone Records)
Really nasty punk/sludge/doom from Israel, don't know if it's the contempt for the western civilization or economic standard for studio recordings that makes all this so nasty and vile, but I love it. Get this!
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (2 copies)

Gulaggh - "Vorkuta" CD (New Era Productions)
Stalaggh is no more, Gulaggh has taken its place. A soulripping piece of audio terror. The most disturbing piece so far by these musical avantgardes.
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (7 copies)

Iron Halo Device - "The Collapsing Void" CD (Malignant Records)
Live album. More beat-oriented electronics, but surely not EBM. CD contains the acts first live performance. This is very dark electronics, with provocative samples and malignant industrialism combined with the darkest of ambience.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (1 copy)

Jarl - "Out Of Balance" CD Digipack (Malignant Records)
Erik Jarls, the noise engineer of IRM, solo project. Since Jarl is responsible for the music in IRM, it's easy to recognize his soundscapes. The album has the coldness of IRM, but isn't as agressive. The album is cold and introvert, and gives one a feeling of a dormant evil, of dwelling, a lurking inner decay.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (6 copies)

Kristoffer Nyströms Orkester - "BrakeHEAD" CD Digipack (Malignant Records)
Kristoffer Oustad from V:28 and Peter Nyström from Megaptera and Negru Voda in a hellish collaboration. A deep mixture between power electronics, noise and old school industrial. A great album, a dark atmospheric nightmare. Get this as soon as possible, I don't have many copies!
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (3 copies)

Lietterschpich - I Cum Blood In The Think Tank CD (Heart & Crossbone Records)
Harsh, Black Metal influenced noise/industrial. Sounding really cold and empty. Should certainly appeal to you who worship Stalaggh and need more NON (Boyd Rice) in your life, touches here and there of primitive BM. Roughly said, Stalaggh in a collaboration with Boyd Rice and Fenriz (Darkthrone).
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (1 copy)

Lightning Bolt - S/T (Load Records)
The amazing debut by one of the greatest rock bands ever. Without a doubt the noisiest and least song-based album.
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (1 copy)

Meltdown - "White" CD Sleeve (Modul 3C)
Harsh Noise from Sweden, really magnificent stuff. Saw his live performance together with Vanvett on March 17 2007. Really insane live sounds! Necrosadist - "In The Realm Of Flesh" MCD in Jewel Case (Sérpéné Héli Music Collective)
Raw Black Metal, or Raw Necro Violence as they want to refer to their music as. Should more than certainly appeal to fans of old school Black Metal, 'cause this is necro in every way, but without being lo-fi in a shitty way.
60 SEK / 6 EUR / 7 USD (1 copy)

Prolyphic And Reanimator - "Artist Goes Pop" 12'' (Strange Famous Records)
12'' Single with a number of tracks from the album "The Ugly Truth". Reanimators haunting beats is truly amazing and the vocal performance of Prolyphic is pure gold. HipHop for the conscious mind, not the suburban wanna-be pimp.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (2 copies)

Prolyphic And Reanimator - "The Ugly Truth" CD (Strange Famous Records)
Great album from a great team. As it says above, this is pure gold, get it or be extremly sorry!

Saturnalia Temple - "UR" CD in Digipack (PsycheDOOMelic)
Occult, evil and ultra mammoth-like doom from the same LSD-tripped out universe as Electric Wizard and Sleep (Jerusalem). They supported the Devil's Blood at their first show in Stockholm, and have played at various festivals this year. Don't miss this heavy weight.
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (6 copies)

Saturnalia Temple - "S/T" 7'' (Nuclear Winter Records)
Two tracks of occult, creeping, evil-as-hell doom!
50 SEK / 5 EUR / 6 USD (3 copies)

80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (2 copies)

Skullflower - "Tribulation" CD (Crucial Blast)
Industrial noise, which scratches and shrieks against the skull. Some really harsh parts, and some more "melodic" if that's possible. Some trance influences, but without beats or standard trance-dance-sound. Digital spaced out sounds from time to time. Nice, cold design. Don't know if Skullflower uses analogue tools but it sounds like it.
60 SEK / 6 EUR / 7 USD (4 copies)

Skullflower - "Orange Canyon Mind" CD (Crucial Blast)
Like a big drill that's battling a spaceship. More pulse and guitar then Tribulation.
60 SEK / 6 EUR / 7 USD (3 copies)

Soviet Jazz - "The Ominous Session" CD-R
A grand piece of suburban angst, drones, trumpet, noise and piano played with pure malice. This is an insane, experimental piece of jazz that bear more similarity to Jazz-Avantgardes Supersilent than Miles Davies. Soviet Jazz has found a formula of creating something amazingly interesting and provoking at the same time.
MP3-sample: The Busdriver
35 SEK / 4 EUR / 4 USD

Stalaggh - "Pure Misanthropia" CD
This is the "remix" of Projekt Misanthropia. Released with Stalagghs permission and presented as it was supposed to sound. Which is colder and darker (if possible) than the original release. The last record that came out of Stalaggh before they changed their name and concentration camp.
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (8 copies)

Testphasen Negativ - "How I Won The War - Wie Ich den Krieg Gewann" CD in A5 foldable sleeve (Sérpéné Héli Music Collective)
Utterly dark, haunting and capturing. The sound of a war won by darkness. It doesn't seem that I can help it, but again, this is a must have for any fan of darkness.
80 SEK / 8 EUR / 9 USD (3 copies)

Time To Burn - "Starting Point" CD in Digipack (Basement Apes Industries)
2005 debut album from the great french Time To Burn. Performing that Post-Hardcore/Doom music that really is boiling now. Amazing weight and harsh sound, with really grim vocals. Should appeal to fans of Cult Of Luna, Year Of No Light and of course Neurosis and Isis. But Ominous actually prefers this to some of the bands mentioned. A bit more evil maybe? Find out for your self!
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (3 copies)

Time To Burn - "Is.land" CD in Digisleeve (Basement Apes Industries)
Second album from 2007. More atmospheric and longer tracks, but still harsh and grim. Like a Black-fueled Hardcore/doom machine. Definetely one of Ominous favorite albums for the moment!
100 SEK / 10 EUR / 11 USD (2 copies)

V/A - "...With Eyes Wide Open For A Brighter Future" CD (House Of The Last Light)
Industrial, Noise and Ambient from various artists inspired by the events of 9/11. Some really heavy tracks, some more atmospheric, interesting layout.
