Greetings my fellow music freaks. It's a new year, which means new releases! Exciting releases!
There will be a live tape with the amazing german noise/rock band Nicoffeine and Ominous is currently working on getting them a short tour through Sweden in April. So far they are booked for the 27th in Gothenburg and the 28th they'll play Stockholm/Solna (at HQ probably).
Also, Ominous wants to recall that Avgrunden had another amazing release planned, which hopefully will end up as a release here later this year.

As the great storyteller Ominous is, he has of course saved the best (worst) for last. Another tape series!
Ominous is extremely excited to announce the 2012 tape series "HQ (Lo-Fi)" Tape Series.
What? Is that even possible? High quality and lo-fi? But of course it is, you're in the Ominous world. The artists are of the highest quality, the sound will certainly be very lo-fi.

Another Ominous event has passed.
Ominous sold out The Flying Luttenbachers vinyl, the American Free and the Yo Amoeba 7 inches. Still got two copies left of Peter Evans and Weasel Walters magnificent opus "Oculus Ex Abyssus" on vinyl, so get it while you can!

There won't be any more events arranged by Ominous until next year, but next year Ominous has some mindblowing, facemelting, earpounding, heartstopping harsh music coming and hopefully a couple of amazing events as well.

Don't forget to buy your christmas presents from Ominous, it's worth for all involved.

Another evening will be held at Solna HQ on the 28th of October.
Ominous Bar Evening Extravaganza is not an Ominous Evening, it's a smaller, more intimate event, and it's a very special evening for many reasons.
1. It's the last Ominous-event of the year.

2. Tobias Lund (Totenpaahle, GB, Karpis, Coca-Cola 3) will perform his last show for Ominous as Totenpaahle for a very long time since he's going to the states in february. He is also releasing a new tape that comes with a homebrewed 3 hops India Pale Ale!

3. Dan Söderberg, your precious pop-golden-boy, are preparing 20 minutes of lo-fi madness to be released on tape this evening as well. He, however, will be guest dj-ing instead of performing, which raises all sorts of questions.

4. Chicagojazzen will release a new tape titled "Övik/Jörn" on Ominous Recordings.

5. Soviet Jazz will perform, in some way, details are murky, as always with these avantgarde-freaks. Either a performance or a DJ-set.

6. The guestlist is limited to 60 people, so please make sure that you actually come if you sign the guestlist, or don't sign the guestlist until 24 hours before lift-off if you're not sure.

7. Entrance is FREE, but like the little punk Ominous is, a hat or a swear jar or something will be placed by the distro table, so you are free to give donations to the artists, or suprise us all and buy a tape?

This is just for starters, perhaps another release or live act will be announced shortly, or perhaps the world will end on October 21 like Harold Camping predicts.

Another Ominous evening has passed and Ominous would like to thank all of you who attended, the artists performing and of course the wonderful people at Solna HQ.
At the evening the last copy of Pleasure Trails tape "Quapolar Boy" was sold, so now, there aren't any copies left.
Also updated the distro, have forgotten to add the Free Porcupine Society releases to the listing, removed sold out items and also, new in the distro SATURNALIA TEMPLE - Aion Of Drakon (CD), I've got both the european release by Nuclear Winter Records and the american edition released by The Ajna Offensive.

Avgrunden and Stillheten tapes have been delayed due to problems with the distributor in England. So they are still in England and won't arrive until next week.
During An Ominous Evening #3 you will be able to purchase a download card with a code for the mp3 version of their releases, the card will also give you the right to collect a tape as soon as they arrive. Or you could re-order it, and you will be notified when the tape arrives. Or you could take your chances and do neither, and hope there are som left later on.
